The Trust is a voluntary and autonomous association of Buddhists from all traditions, open to ALL. The Trust promotes the practice of "Hospice in the Heart", personal openness to suffering, dying and death in the midst of life.

This French registered Association supports children and young people affected by Polio and Tuberculosis and who may be orphans, deaf, blind or mute in Pondichéry a former French province in the South East of India. The Association also founded and supports the Shiva Shakti Schiool for handicapped youngster to give them a basic education. Open Door supporters have donated money and many items of school equipment to this project.

Andrew and T-Anne also collect used postage stamps for the RNIB, used spectacles for World Vision and jiffy bags for Open Door (They donate 10€ cents to Open Door for every Jiffy Bag they receive).
